Grounds and Maintenance

Responsibilities

• Shifts are 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the summer and 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the winter. 

• Maintain Zoo and Aquarium landscaping.

• Build and maintain zoo and aquarium exhibits.

• Small concrete jobs.

• Simple plumbing.

• Woodwork. 

• Simple electric.

• Irrigation.

​Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older

• Dependable, honest, patient

• Handle stressful situations

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment

• Able to multitask

• Able to work alone or in a group

• Lift 50 pounds

• Valid driver’s license

• Able to work in inclement weather. 

• Knowledge of operation of chainsaw, mower, hedgers, and weed eaters
