JOB TITLE: Grounds / Maintenance
DEPARTMENT: Grounds

Grounds / Maintenance shifts are 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the summer and 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the winter. 

Grounds / Maintenance duties include but are not limited to: Maintaining Zoo & Aquarium landscaping, building and maintaining zoo & aquarium exhibits, small concrete jobs, simple plumbing, wood work, simple electric, irrigation, and janitorial. 

Grounds / Maintenance Requirements: Must be 18 years or older, dependable, honest, patient, able to handle stressful situations, able to work in a fast-paced environment, able to multitask, able to work alone or in a group, able to lift 50 pounds, have a valid driver’s license.  Know how to operate a chainsaw, mower, hedgers and weed eaters.
